Very few breweries in the world are lucky enough to brew with naturally soft water. Krombacher is one such brewery.
Nature in our homeland has given us the special gift of Felsquellwasser - the naturally soft water that comes from a rock spring that we use in its natural state without the need for processing. Discovered as early as 1722, it is ideal for brewing and ensures that the special taste and freshness of a Krombacher beer can fully develop.
The Zimberg tunnel
Hidden in the dense woods and not far from our brewery is the Zimberg tunnel where one of the 48 springs for our soft and low-mineral Felsquellwasser® is located.
