About Krombacher in Australia
Krombacher is one of Germany’s leading independent breweries – family-owned since 1803, brewed in the same Sauerland village for more than two centuries and exported to over 40 countries. In 2026 Krombacher is launching a Phase 1 partner program for Australia, selecting exclusive trade partners in Sydney & NSW, Melbourne & Victoria, Brisbane & Queensland and for national hospitality.
Australia is a mature beer market of around 17 million hectolitres a year, with imported beer accounting for roughly a fifth of volume. Demand for authentic European premium lagers is particularly strong in metropolitan venues and bottle shops. Krombacher brings the German Reinheitsgebot of 1516 and its own protected water source, Felsquellwasser®, to this category.

Krombacher Pils is the flagship – Germany’s best-selling premium pils. The Phase 1 portfolio is completed by Krombacher Hell (the smooth lager), Krombacher Weizen (Bavarian-style wheat beer) and Krombacher 0,0% for the fast-growing alcohol-free segment.
