About Krombacher in Puerto Rico
Krombacher is one of Germany’s leading independent breweries – family-owned since 1803, brewed in the same Sauerland village for more than two centuries and exported to over 40 countries. In 2026 Krombacher is launching a Phase 1 partner program for Puerto Rico and is selecting exclusive trade partners in Metro San Juan, Ponce & the South, Rincón & the West Coast and for island-wide hospitality.
Puerto Rico has a beer market of around 1.5 million hectolitres a year, of which imported beer accounts for roughly 25%. International tourism, cruise traffic and a vibrant food scene are driving demand for premium brands in hotels, restaurants and bars. Krombacher brings the German Reinheitsgebot of 1516 and its own protected water source, Felsquellwasser®, to this category.
