About Krombacher in Mauritius
Krombacher is one of Germany’s leading independent breweries – family-owned since 1803, brewed in the same Sauerland village for more than two centuries and exported to over 40 countries. In 2026 Krombacher is launching a Phase 1 partner program for Mauritius, selecting exclusive trade partners in Port Louis & Ebène, the North coast and the East & West coasts, and for resorts and hospitality island-wide.
Mauritius has a beer market of around 600,000 hectolitres per year, with imports accounting for around 20 percent. International tourism, a dense network of beach resorts and the business districts of Port Louis and Ebène make the island a natural home for premium imported beer. Krombacher brings the German Reinheitsgebot of 1516 and its own protected water source, Felsquellwasser®, to this category.
