Beer (Bier)
Beer is a fermented beverage made from four ingredients: water, malted grain, hops and yeast.
German beer & the Reinheitsgebot
In Germany, beer is defined by the Reinheitsgebot, the purity law of 1516, which permits only these ingredients. Every Krombacher beer is brewed strictly to this standard, using our own Felsquellwasser®.
Beer styles
Beers are broadly split into bottom-fermented lagers (such as Pils and Helles) and top-fermented styles (such as Weizen). Krombacher brews across both.
